2007 PREMIER SPONSOR

LOWER ESOPUS RIVER WATCH

LERW provided generous financial support early in the NEC'07 planning process, which allowed us to significantly reduce rates for governement and non-profit employees.

Lower Esopus River Watch

is a non-profit community based organization working to protect riparian lands, wetlands, and water quality through a Watershed Approach Framework.  LERW is a consortia member in the Mid-Hudson Service Learning Institute for Watershed and Environmental Studies and actively supports school and community based Service Learning through the Learn and Serve America program.

LERW helps to support local and county government compliance with Phase II Stormwater Regulations and has assembled an impressive array of technology, software and field equipment necessary to carry out assessment planning & implementation of water quality & land use best management practices.  These resources are made available to local governments, schools, and volunteers to implement community-based efforts to resolve local watershed issues.

IT'S NEVER TOO LATE!!!

Two of our goals for 2007 are to hold educational events and to get a scholarshop program going.  We're hoping, not just to break even after paying off NEC'07 expenditures but, to have a little something left over for scholarships.

The NEC is already in the preliminary planning stage for two events in 2008 - the first  in early April in Rhode Island geared towards contractors, and the annual conference & trade exposition to be held in Maine.

Please read the CALL for SPONSORS (right) - this version is specific to NEC'07, but the benefits and responsibilites of sponsorship it describes apply in general.  We hope YOU will decide to pitch in, because every little bit counts.
