EROSION and STORM WATER CONTROL Workshop (Wednesday)
Participants will be provided with either a commercial site plan or a residential subdivision plan that shows proposed development with grading, but no erosion/sediment control measures or stormwater drainage. ATTENDEES will work in small groups with EXHIBITORS (who will be provided with both plans in advance) to address erosion and storm water quality issues. Each group will present their plan to the audience. If time permits, Steve Trinkaus, PE, CPESC, CPSWQ, will discuss the concept of Environmental Site Design strategies and answer questions.

CPSWQ Program Overview: David Ward (Envirocert International, Inc.)
Focus: experience and education necessary to become a CPSWQ; what component of the design of a storm water treatment system can a CPSWQ design; conflicts as a CPSWQ with professional laws for licensed engineers, potential liabilities for CPSWQ’s who are not licensed engineers (who pays when the system does not work as designed or fails) and other topics.
Panelists: Steve Trinkaus, PE, CPESC, CPSWQ (Trinkaus Engineering, LLC); Robert Jontos, CPESC (Land-tech Consultants); Mickey Marcus, PWS, CPESC, CPSWQ (New England Environmental); an environmental consultant from CT, TBA, who is CPESC, CPSWQ; and others.
